PSHE & RSE

PSHE at Hillmead

At Hillmead we teach PSHE within class for approximately one hour per week. PSHE (Personal, Social, Health Education) aims to equip children with the knowledge, understanding, attitudes and practical skills to live healthily, safely, productively and responsibly. Across the school we cover specific topics across the year, with work and discussion pitched at the child's specific age range. These topics include: Health and Well-being, Living in the Wider World, Relationships and Anti-Bullying.

Our PHSE policy also includes includes Relationships and Health Education and our position on Sex Education.

We also spend PSHE time thinking about British Values (See our British Values page), Protective Behaviours (See our Protective Behaviours page) and Zones of Regulation.
